Who we are

Kerbfind is operated by A-Type Sourcing Ltd (“we”), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 14741477, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. Contact: inclinedthatway@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address and a scrambled (hashed) password. We never store the password itself. Older accounts may use a hashed PIN instead.
• Your scans: the items you search for, the prices you enter, the answers we gave, and anything you save, mark as bought or mark as sold. This is what makes History, Watchlist and Bought work.
• Photos: photos you take to identify an item are sent to our AI provider to read the item and its labels, then discarded. We do not store your photos.
• Feedback: thumbs up or down on an answer, and any note you add.
• Technical: IP address and browser type in short-lived server logs, used for rate limiting and fixing errors.

How we use it

We keep a log of activity on your account (sign-ins, the items you look up and check, the answers, and payments) so we can run the service, stop misuse and see how it’s used. To run the service, to keep your data in sync between your devices, to improve the accuracy of recommendations, and, if you opt in under Settings, to personalise recommendations to your own results. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Who else sees it

Your search text is sent to our data providers (eBay, SoldComps and, when enabled, Apify) to fetch market data. Photos are sent to Anthropic to identify the item. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number. Account emails (welcome and password reset) are sent through Resend. Our servers are hosted by Railway in the EU/US.

How long we keep it

Account data for as long as your account is open and for 12 months after it closes. You can export or delete everything from Settings, or by emailing us.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can access, correct, export, restrict or delete your data, and complain to the ICO. Email us and we will act within 30 days.

Cookies

One cookie keeps you signed in. Local browser storage keeps a copy of your scans so the app works offline, and a small copy of the photos you scan with for your history cards; those photos stay on your device and are not saved to your account. No tracking cookies. We count page visits and taps (without cookies or any personal details) so we can see what's used and improve the app.
